WHAT WEEK?
28

HOW BIG IS BABY?
The size of an eggplant or about 14.8 inches

WHAT’S SOMETHING NEW THIS WEEK?
Braxton Hicks! I’ve definitely felt the tightening a few times and have stopped to enjoy the sensation. My body preparing for labour in about 12 weeks. I still can’t quite believe it’s all happening.

MOST CHALLENGING MOMENT?
Mercury Retrograde WTF! It’s just relentless! May was very challenging and the past few days of this month have been crazy too. Miscommunication, tackling hard emotional issues, feeling a bit lost, stressing out, fractured sleep and feeling hyper sensitive. ALL of it rearing it’s ugly head!! I’ve spent the better half of the week in damage control, navigating big emotions but also trying to ‘mum’ at the same time. I feel optimistic that the hardest stuff is behind me and I’ll lick my wounds and move forward haha! Edit: writing an update 3 days later, it seems to have passed and things are looking a lot better and brighter haha!

MOST EXCITING MOMENT?
It’s been a wonderfully productive work week between Lovewell, Your Zen Life, Lost Retreats & Your Zen Mama. The only reason I’ve been able to accomplish so much is that we hired a sitter to come for 20 hours this week. Most of my friends have children in school plus many times a nanny but we have nada! Mark and I just do it and team up on who has work stuff at what time but we never get to have long periods of both focusing on work. This week has really been a godsend as our young friend Cordelia has stepped up to the role of babysitter and the kids are OBSESSED with her, so much so I have to remind one of my children of personal space haha. Next week is our last week in LA so I’ve asked if she wants to come back next week so Mark can finish the script he’s working on and I can get a bunch more work stuff squared away!

STARTING WEIGHT?
116lbs/52kg

CURRENT WEIGHT?
140/63kg so I’m really jumping up now!! I’m about 5lbs heavier this pregnancy than with the others. I’ve been feeling sluggish so I’ve actually decided to eat much healthier this week, more fruits and veggies, less burgers, muffins and pasta haha!

EXERCISE?
None! But I’ve booked in a hike with my friend Jess next week!

MEALS?
Avocado toast and a green juice in the AM, a big salad with miso tahini dressing, Mary’s gone crackers, avocado, garlic dip, kelp noodles for lunch and vegan chilli for dinner! With one Lovewell each day. I plan to make super hearty yummy salads until we leave and then hopefully continue the trend when I get back to Oz, although naturally quarantine food might be a little trickier to handle!

REFLECTIONS?
My favourite saying “Breakdown to Breakthrough” thanks AA! My husband told me that one. It’s been a godsend this week. Honestly I’ve witnessed myself create stories in my head about someones perceptions of me like it was reality and then watch as that unravelled and I realised there was zero merit to my story! I’ve been feeling in flight or fight mode and I’m really ready to just relax. One thing that really helped me was that I sat down, listened to the words of legendary philosopher and Law of Attraction preacher Neil Goddard and his words really resonated. I turned on some music, took some deep breaths and envisioned my dream reality before letting it all go and landing in a place of utter appreciation and gratitude for my life. It was such a beautiful practice and I really believe in the power of intention setting. In an upcoming episode of “The Well” over at our Lovewell social media account I talk about this a lot more in detail.
