Recipe: Strawberry Lavender Smoothie by William W. Li, MD

The sweet, floral essence of lavender elicits calm and is the perfect complement to antioxidant rich strawberries. High protein soy milk helps make this smoothie satisfying. Be sure to purchase food grade lavender, look for it in specialty food shops, spice markets or online. 

Serves: 1 (10 Fl oz smoothie)

Ingredients:
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup unsweetened soy milk
1 tablespoon honey
2 teaspoons dried lavender leaves

Preparation:
Place strawberries, soymilk, honey and lavender in the blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and serve.
