33-34 Week Pregnancy VLOG baby 3 Sarah Olsen

WHAT WEEK?

 33-34 Weeks

HOW BIG IS BABY?

Approx. 4 pounds the size of a Cantaloupe. (but when I saw my doc they said 6.5 pounds according to the ultrasound)

WHAT’S SOMETHING NEW THIS WEEK?

I start this video at the barn in Idaho in the airstream and then part two is after we have landed home back in LA.

MOST CHALLENGING MOMENT

Packing up our two months and heading home.  The last few days in Idaho included a lot of cleaning and packing and prepping for our journey back to LA. Our time was really amazing there but once we decided to head home I was ready.  The camp site we stayed at on the way home was much more crowded than the one we had on the way up to Idaho. We stayed near Zion National Park and it was beautiful but there were so many people around it gave me a bit of anxiety.  The night we slept in the airstream with the new puppy and the kids at the campsite someone next to us played music very late and it shook our trailer. It was frustrating to not get good rest before another day of travel and Eric and I were pretty wiped out.

MOST EXCITING MOMENT

Arriving at our house in LA. We spent two days traveling back to LA and it was a pretty great Journey. We packed lots of food and listened to folklore by taylor swift. Pulling into our house and jumping into our shower was epic. I couldn’t stop saying how happy I was to be home. Eric and I slept amazing that night and I just couldn’t wait to unpack and get settled.

EXERCISE

I am still doing some of the daily Essentials from spinning babies and I am walking in our neighborhood. It feels good to get in a little exercise.

MEALS

Home sweet home and really just more of the same things we were making beore. Sonya our doula/nanny is with us and helping prep for the new baby and she has been making some amazing mind-blowing Japanese meals. I am Japanese food obsessed.

FOOD AVERSIONS

Nothing in particular at the moment.

CRAVINGS

Back in LA and I had to have Sidecar Donuts!! OMG SOOOOOOOOO good. My fav.

 REFLECTIONS

Feeling very grateful to be home with my doctor and so happy to see the baby’s position. Two months away felt like a long time to not see the baby. It was amazing to hear the heartbeat and see all the movement in there. The baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead so above the 90thpercentile. They are estimating a 9.5 pound baby if baby comes on time so we will see if that ends up being accurate.

I think its about this time every pregnancy that I get a little anxious. I worry if I have done enough to grow a strong healthy baby, I think about the birth and little bits of fear creep in and I have to remind myself to go back to the things that make me feel safe. Reading my books and watching videos of birth. This is a complicated time right? Birth will look differently in the hospital.. I have had moments of considering a home birth or even a birth near the hospital at a hotel. I have had moments considering my options and yet my heart is pulled back to the beauty of my birth with Esmé and I am focusing on that and trying to trust and let go of the fear.
