Week 22 Pregnancy VLOG baby 3 Sarah Olsen

WHAT WEEK?

 22

HOW BIG IS BABY?

The size of a papaya

WHAT’S SOMETHING NEW THIS WEEK?

I decided not to go to my doctor appt and instead I did a tele medicine phone call to check-in and decrease my chances of exposure.

MOST CHALLENGING MOMENT

Starting to feel a little bit bigger and I am feeling the pressure in my pelvic floor from the extra weight and stretching of my muscles. I am going to try and strengthen my pelvic floor over the next couple of months as this was pretty painful during my pregnancy with Esmé.

MOST EXCITING MOMENT

We have officially decided to drive to Idaho in a few weeks! We are going to pack up our airstream and camp along the way. We hope to be able to be with our family and quarantine together with them for a month or so.

EXERCISE

I started incorporating a little bit of a workout with my walks. I love the, Every Mother app and am doing the program designed for women in their second trimester. It is challenging but it makes me feel good to be strengthening my body as it grows.

MEALS

Oh man I just about eat everything. Eric went and got me a bunch of veggie tamales and some papusas from this place that we love and we froze them and I just want to eat them every day. Basically, I am just eating beans, masa and cheese with salsa but it’s SO good.

FOOD AVERSIONS

Seafood is still a big no for me. Also, I hate the smell of Cesar or creamy dressings. My daughter loves to eat smoked mussels from Patagonia provisions. Eric and Esmé would eat them every day if they could. I really hate the smell of them currently but I think I am just having a seafood aversion altogether.

CRAVINGS

Lots of spicy food and some sweets. I keep craving chocolate chip cookies! I am beginning to get heartburn now though so it is becoming a challenge to eat as many jalepeño peppers as I want to hahah.

REFLECTIONS

22 weeks pregnant. More than halfway through and my mind goes to many things. What will the world be like in a few months?  Will I be able to have my baby safely at a hospital with my husband present?  Will my kids be going back to school in the fall? Will my mother and mother-n-law and father-in-law be able to meet our new baby before her first birthday? I don’t have answers to any of these questions but they do flow through my mind at night. For now I will take this one day at a time. I will finish homeschooling my little ones in a few weeks and we will head north to spend a part of the summer in Idaho.
