WHAT’S SOMETHING NEW THIS WEEK?
Yucky yucky sickness! It’s definitely worse this week than last. It’s funny because I’m working so much I can’t tell if it’s enhancing the nausea because I’m tired and having to wake up so early but even thinking about the wrong thing makes me feel so gross and sick!

MOST CHALLENGING MOMENT?
Utter fatigue and sickness by far. Also coming home and feeling really useless because all I can do is crawl in to bed with the kids and lie with them to sleep before rolling myself in to bed. Poor Mark is getting no face time with me at all. I’ve been falling asleep by 9 each night.

MOST EXCITING MOMENT?
We saw the baby’s heartbeat on the scan last week, that image above is from 6 weeks exactly and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it! Once you’ve seen the heartbeat typically it means there is a lowered chance of pregnancy loss. That’s been giving me some hope this week!

CRAVINGS?
Avocado toast?!

REFLECTIONS?
Our connection to this baby is well and truly here and sometimes the thoughts of “what if...” pop into my head. I think once you’ve experienced pregnancy loss before you can’t help but worry about it happening again, especially when you’re still in your first trimester. I’ve already dreamt up who this little guy or girl is, what their name is, how they look, what it might be like folding them into our family. I’m so invested and I just hope this little blessing stays with us.
