WHAT’S SOMETHING NEW THIS WEEK?
We had our first road trip as a family since the babe arrived. I was nervous about how the kids would go, especially Prairie but she was a total trooper. We made a couple of necessary stopovers for some boobin and butt changing. We brought tons of snacks, drinks and things to do in the car, the kids love a road trip and so do we. We really are a camping/road tripping family. Love having a good chat with my man up the front while I munch on the best snacks and drink the booch!

MOST CHALLENGING MOMENT?
Tired this week. We were staying up a lot later than expected a few nights and then up early with the babes and ooof that rocked me! I have a perpetual headache. Hmm what else? I change Prairie a million times a day because of spit up but that’s fine and sometimes Poet asking to nurse 17363829 x a day can be taxing but usually I’m very patient and can divert!

SOMETHING YOU HAVE LOVED THIS WEEK?
Going on the road trip with my gang and being a set wifey to Mark. LOVED LOVED LOVED being on set again but this time there to support my man. We had fun trailer time and Poet was very insistent on using makeup, I let her really go to town however she wants and it’s so funny how much she loves it. I so very rarely wear makeup that it’s a trip to see how in to it she is, maybe because she doesn’t see me use it often it’s more of a novelty to her, I’m not sure. Prairie got to have lots of cuddles with Marks cast and crew and I just loved seeing her engaging with people outside of her family.

MAMA TIME?
Right now! I’m having a bath. Today has been a HECTIC day of work but finally relaxing in the bath. Other than that spending time with the kids felt like mama time, I didn’t have to do anything big be with them. We swum in the pool, played in the jacuzzi and really connected. Also we watched old school goosebumps episodes and that was really fun!

WHAT AM I EATING?
I’m having green juices, Lovewell, smoothies, vegan burgers, pizzas, fries, dumplings, pad thai and of course my usual avocado toast!

WHAT’S WORKING?
Lazy mornings! I’ve had some really nice lay ins with Prairie, either Mark will get up and do breakfast for the kids or my mum will and while I’m awake with my little babe we stay in bed, I get some work emails done and we coo at each other and connect. I really love the morning times with her, it’s usually just us and sometimes Poet for some nursing action but it feels beautiful and we get to have these darling intimate moments with each other.

MY BODY
Is feeling pretty good, sluggish a little bit but other than that it’s feeling great. I’ve plateaued a little weight wise, still about 7lbs off pre pregnancy, but again I’m in no rush and I’m certainly not (and won’t) be dieting or watching what I’m eating. My body is holding on to what it needs to right now and I’m sure I’ll start fitting in to my old clothes when my body is organically ready. I’d love to be able to have the time to workout but for right now it feels like I’m incredibly time poor. After Mark is finished his film I will be able to get some me time back I think so that I’ll be able to take an hour to workout here and there.

CHECKING IN
I just thought I’d say that I’m sending love to anyone out there who is feeling the discourse around the world. I hope for a world that is compassionate, loving and understanding, one that nurtures unity among our neighbours. I see all the brilliant people out there being kind to each other, offering support and connection, I know many sure do need it right now.
